Pep Guardiola has a year left on his contract with Manchester City but is not in a rush to talk about a new deal; the Spaniard is happy to wait until the end of the season to start discussing a possible contract extension.

There have been several rumours surrounding Guardiola and his next move in his managerial career. The man himself has also spoken out about his situation and on touched on what he would like to do in the near and far future.

According to Pep and besides waiting until the current campaign runs its course, he would be willing to stay at the Etihad for another 10 years, in fact stating he would stay at the club forever, which further displays how happy he is in Manchester at the moment.

Guardiola, who joined City in 2016, is out of contract next summer but has remained calm on his future. Last week, he declared that he wants to stay ‘forever’ and would be willing to sign a 10-year contract at the Etihad.

Like Liverpool tired Jurgen Klopp to a new deal, Man City will undoubtedly want to keep hold of their most prized possession for as long as they can and get him to extend as soon as possible.

The City boss made his intentions clear: a break will be needed from football and following the pause from the game a national team job is on the cards. Of the national jobs, Brazil and Argentina were mentioned as interested parties.

He made the remarks in response to reports that he was being lined up to be a future Brazil manager.

He has also been linked with the Argentina job, and that possibility was put to him in an interview with AS Argentina, to which he confirmed his intentions to take a national team role in future after leaving City. (Via: manchestereveningnews.co.uk)

Hard to imagine the Premier League without Pep Guardiola

Pep and Klopp have been hammering at it for so long, that it’s almost impossible to think about a Premier League without the two giants of the modern game. This season alone is a testament to how their respective squads push each other to break record after record, season in and out.

Pep’s boys are two games and six points away from capturing his fourth Premier League title in his six years at the club; this will also be the second time he has won the EPL in back-to-back runs if they pull it off.

The craziest notion of them all: the campaign in some way feels like Pep Guardiola and his team have failed to win two or more trophies. That is how successful and relentless he has made the Cityzens.

All that’s left for him to accomplish with Manchester City now is to win the Champions League, which has been eluding for the past 10 years. One feels, that only after that will the man who has won La Liga, Bundesliga, and the Premier League, will consider a break from football and go after the big one, the World Cup.

Next season could be quite intriguing from a City point of view as they gear up for the arrival of striker Erling Haaland.
